Scope of Work

What Cochrane commercial Christmas light installation covers

Cochrane commercial Christmas light installation is quoted once per property, covering the whole season from survey to storage. Nothing is re-quoted in December.

Site survey and design

We walk each property, measure the roofline, parapets, canopies and forecourt, and put the display on paper before anyone quotes a number.

LEDs, wreaths and garland

Heavy-duty LEDs rated for Alberta winters, cut to fit the building, with lit wreaths and garland for entrances and frontages. Ours, not yours, so nothing sits on your books or in your stockroom.

Magnetic mounts, no screws

On parapet walls we mount with magnets, so nothing is screwed into the building. Everywhere else it is clips and non-penetrating fixings, with no holes left in fascia, cladding or signage bands.

Timers set and tested

Automatic timers or photocells set to your trading hours, so the display is on at dusk and off when you want it off. No staff switching anything.

Season-long service

A dead run or a loose strand gets fixed on a service call, not a new quote. One phone call to your point of contact and we come out.

January takedown and storage

Removed on a scheduled route from early January and stored labelled by property at our shop. You are not asked to find space for it.

How It Works

The commercial season, from site walk to storage

Three steps, and only the first one needs anything from you.

Step 01: Site walk and written quote

We visit each property across Cochrane and Calgary, measure the frontage and confirm who signs off. You get a fixed written quote, and approving it holds your dates.

Step 02: Install, then service all season

Insured, WCB covered crews work the hours you agreed. Lights are cut to fit on site and timers tested. If a run goes dark, we come out and fix it free.

Step 03: Takedown and storage

Scheduled Christmas light removal and takedown from early January, planned around your sale weekends and stock takes. Everything is stored labelled by property at our shop.

Scheduling & Logistics

Installed around your trading hours, not ours

No customer should have to walk around a ladder to get through your door. Installs are scheduled the way any trade works on a live site.

  • We work around your trading hours

Early mornings, evenings after close, or quieter weekdays. Doors stay open.

  • Booked before the retail rush

Commercial windows are the first dates to go. Book in late summer.

  • The window is agreed in writing

Access times, codes and your site contact, all confirmed before we schedule.

Insurance & Terms

Insured, WCB covered and easy to pay

Two things decide whether a holiday lighting vendor is workable: whether they clear your approval process, and whether the invoice fits how your accounts payable runs. Both are answered here rather than three emails in, and who you are dealing with is on the record.

Coverage and compliance

The certificates your vendor form asks for

A ladder against a parapet is a workplace, and if the person on it is uninsured the exposure lands on the property owner. Bright West carries liability insurance and WCB coverage, and we send both with the quote.

  • $2 million general liability insurance, with a certificate supplied for your records
  • WCB coverage for every crew member on your site
  • Documents sent with the quote, before a vendor form asks for them
  • Work at height carried out by a crew that does it year round
  • No staff member of yours on a ladder, and no exposure if something goes wrong
Invoicing and terms

Billing that fits your approval process

Quotes are written against your PO and your cost centres, so nothing stalls in accounts payable waiting for someone to work out which property it belongs to.

  • Purchase order numbers quoted against and carried onto the invoice
  • Site, property or cost centre codes referenced line by line
  • One consolidated invoice for a multi-site portfolio, not one per address
  • Net terms available for approved commercial accounts
  • Takedown and storage included in the same price, never billed again in January
Properties We Light

Commercial holiday lighting for properties in Cochrane and Calgary

Every commercial site has a constraint the display has to work around: a service window, a delivery bay, or a board that needs to sign it off.

Storefront Christmas lights

The downtown Cochrane retail core and the plazas around it. Fascia runs, window frames, entrance surrounds and awnings, lit so the shopfront reads from across the street after dark and holds its own beside the streetlights.

Installed before opening or after close

Car dealerships

Car dealership Christmas lights across showroom frontage, pylon and pole signage, forecourt trees and lot perimeters. The display has to hold up against lot lighting, so we plan brightness and placement around it rather than against it.

Planned around lot moves and deliveries

Restaurants and hospitality

Restaurant Christmas lighting on patios, entrances, railings and rooflines, plus pubs and hotels heading into their busiest six weeks of the year. Warm colour temperatures that flatter a frontage rather than flatten it.

Never during a service

Plazas and offices

Office building Christmas lights, shared plaza frontages, entrance canopies, column wraps and landscaping, handled as one scope so every tenant gets the same standard instead of five displays bought five different ways.

One scope across every tenant frontage

HOA and condo boards

HOA Christmas light installation on entrance features, monument signs, common area trees and clubhouse rooflines, quoted so a board can approve it in one meeting and repeat it next year without re-tendering.

Quoted for board approval, repeatable next season
